Strong manufacturer representation is built on trust, follow-through, and the ability to deliver dependable results on large-scale projects. Joey Fisher of Fishco Group exemplifies these qualities, bringing a unique analytical background and a relationship-driven approach to his role. As a Champion Fiberglass® rep agency partner, Joey has successfully positioned fiberglass conduit as a reliable, high-performance alternative to traditional electrical conduit materials across several large infrastructure projects.

Tell us about your background and how you got into sales.

Joey Fisher of Fishco

I didn’t start in sales. My background is in operations and analytics. I spent over five years with a large pharmaceutical company, eventually leading analytics for operations. That experience taught me how to interpret data, communicate performance, respond quickly to challenges, and move into a sales role.

Fishco Group has always been part of my life. My dad started the company when I was young, so joining the electrical industry was always my long-term plan. While the transition felt uncertain at first, many of the skills from my previous role translated directly into working with customers, contractors, and engineers.

How do you position Champion Fiberglass products as a solution for customers?

When I talk about fiberglass conduit, I’m often comparing it to steel or PVC electrical conduit rather than other fiberglass options. Champion Fiberglass really stands apart in the market, so the conversation becomes about performance, labor, and minimizing risk.

Fiberglass conduit offers clear advantages, especially when it comes to elbows. Compared to steel, labor costs are significantly reduced. Compared to PVC, fiberglass eliminates concerns around burn-through and long-term reliability. It’s a strong, niche solution that solves real jobsite challenges.

Can you share a project or sale you’re especially proud of?

One of the most rewarding efforts has been with our ongoing work with electrical contractors supporting large-scale power plant construction projects across the United States. These are complex, multi-site jobs with constantly shifting logistics, everything from delivery locations to material requirements changes in real time.

Despite those challenges, we’ve been able to consistently deliver Champion Fiberglass conduit on time, to job sites nationwide. Being involved at the initial stages of these massive projects, and installing electrical conduit in duct banks before structures go up is very rewarding. It’s a critical role in projects that power entire communities.

What feedback have you received from customers?

The most consistent feedback is about exceptional service and reliability. That’s where Champion Fiberglass stands out. Many manufacturers can win a bid, but not all can execute. Champion Fiberglass consistently delivers on what’s promised, which builds trust with contractors and engineers and keeps projects moving forward.

What do you enjoy most about representing Champion Fiberglass?

It comes down to the people and the culture. Champion Fiberglass operates like a true partner, being accessible, responsive, and collaborative. Whether it’s leadership or production, everyone is aligned and willing to help.

That culture mirrors our own at Fishco Group. Both organizations are family-driven, focused on long-term success, and committed to investing in growth. It makes representing Champion Fiberglass not just productive, but genuinely enjoyable.
